If you’ve always wanted to straighten your smile but are conscious about having braces, Invisalign may be for you. These clear aligners give a removable option to orthodontics so there is no need to change your diet or lifestyle. They have a minimal impact on your life and deliver incredible results.
Invisalign is an innovative straightening system from Align® which uses digital technology and orthodontic techniques to straighten teeth. It works through a set of aligners where each set moves your teeth by a small amount. Once a set has moved the teeth as far as they can, the next set is swapped in.
These aligners are developed using digital scans of your mouth shape and teeth which we collect at the practice using our state-of-the-art digital scanner.
Crooked teeth leave areas that are hard to keep clean of bacteria and plaque. They are areas that have a higher risk of gum disease and decay. Straightening out these teeth makes it easier for you and your hygienist to protect your smile.
Moving your teeth into a straighter position gives you a better bite. This reduces any undue stress on your jaw joint as well as preventing tooth wear caused by biting surfaces not lining up properly.
Overcrowded and crooked teeth can really let your smile down. Invisalign can bring your confidence back and make your smile among your favourite assets.
The most aesthetic way to straighten a smile, Invisalign is the least noticeable system available. Without wires or brackets, it fits in perfectly to the shape of your teeth and the clear plastic is barely noticeable.

Before deciding on Invisalign, we like to talk through all the options available to you during your free consultation. We’ll discuss what results you are after for your smile, how long we foresee the treatment taking and which system of Invisalign is best for you.
So we can plan your treatment, we take accurate 3D scans of your mouth and teeth using an intraoral digital scanner. It’s such a fantastic part of the treatment as it allows us to digitally plan how your new smile will look.
Healthy teeth and gums respond the best to the treatment so we will want to carry out an examination first. We make sure there are no underlying problems to worry about.
Using the Invisalign ClinCheck software, we can virtually plan your treatment steps and preview how your smile will look after the treatment.
When we get your aligners from the lab, we talk through how your treatment will work. We’ll explain when to move onto the next set of aligners and how to keep your mouth as healthy as possible during your treatment.
Most of the treatment happens at your own pace at home, but we will plan to see you around every two months to keep an eye on your progress. Each set of aligners has to be worn for long enough to achieve all the movement it is designed to carry out. This can be between 1-2 weeks and purely depends on how well your teeth move. We’re here to help advise on how long to wear your aligners before moving to the next one.
Teeth have a habit of moving out of position and it’s necessary to have a retainer to prevent losing all that hard work. We have a variety of retainers available, from fixed wires, plastic retainers and Invisalign’s own vivera retainers. We recommend vivera for the highest quality, durable retainer.
